Friends Festive Family Fair

Getting into the spirit of Christmas, Artistic Director Ben Goulding and Assistant Director Jake Celecia took part in the Friends of Exeter Children’s Library’s ‘Friends Festival Family Fair’ event at Exeter Library. The brief, a fifteen minute performance that would be entered into the line-up of activities for ages five and under.

The solution; an interactive reading of Julia Donaldson’s widely popular children’s illustrated story, ‘The Gruffalo.’ Using a cast of cuddly toys and with the help of all the families, Ben and Jake brought the story of a little brown mouse’s misadventures in the wood to life. It may have been raining, but that certainly didn’t discourage the enthusiasm of everyone who took part. Both Ben and Jake are excited to continue working with the Friends of Exeter Children’s Library and creating work for the Early Years in the days ahead.

'A wonderful opportunity to bring smiles to so many young faces. A project that I really enjoyed being a part of and can't wait to launch the next Early Years project in the New Year!'
