Adapted from Charles Dickens’ classic. Great Expectations is a story of division, intrigue, revenge, romance, heartbreak and betrayal.
 

Pip comes from nothing, but is suddenly handed an opportunity to have everything. With the
luxury of everything comes the cost of new promise and ever judging eyes. We follow Pip’s journey through adolescence, his development into a young man, his unrequited love and struggle to balance his simple background with his new found place in high society.

The Anthos Arts Young Company are back with a new look at the Victorian classic, using techniques from Bertolt Brecht’s ‘Epic Theatre’ and with a sprinkle of Konstantin Stanislavski’s ‘Naturalism’. We will delve into the relationships between the characters and how they fit into the larger machine of the industrial revolution.
