Assistant Workshop Facilitator 

​

Working Days-

Saturdays 12:45pm-3:15pm (excluding Easter, Summer and Christmas school holidays), though may occasionally involve additional times around this. 

​

Salary-

This is a volunteer role, though we will reimburse any expenses.

​

Further Opportunities- 

The role will involve paid opportunities to lead on/ direct productions with our youth groups. Any lead facilitator work will be a paid on a termly basis.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR AN ASSISTANT FACILITATOR

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team of facilitators! We are looking for a creative, inspirational individual who is passionate about the arts and working with children and young people to help facilitate our Saturday youth groups.

​

As an Assistant Facilitator, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth delivery of lesson plans, including leading warm up exercises and activities and helping create termly productions. Responsibilities will also involve helping manage backstage at these productions, ensuring the safety and support of the cast throughout.

​

Anthos Arts prides itself on working closely with each and every one of our participants; the right person for the role must also be comfortable listening to and supporting children and young people, acting as a role model for both, in addition to helping them develop a broad range of performance skills. 

​

The role is open to anyone over the age of 18 and will primarily involve working with our young company (ages 12-16) but may occasionally involve facilitating sessions with our Chameleon Group (ages 7-11) or assist with their end of term performance. Our classes/ rehearsals run at the weekend, mainly on Saturdays, with some occasional planning meetings during the week.

The right person for the role will meet the following criteria:

​

ESSENTIAL 

  • Working knowledge of Drama/Performing Arts.

  • Passion for theatre. 

  • Ability to work as part of a team.

  • Ability to actively listen to and support children and young people. 

  • Desire to inspire children and young people. 

  • Commitment toward and understanding of safeguarding children and young people. 

  • Confidence in leading activities and delivering lesson plans. 

  • An up to date Enhanced DBS Certificate (or willingness to undergo a check if a certificate is not currently held)

​

DESIRED

  • Previous facilitation experience, or experience working in a similar setting.

  • Previous experience working with children and young people ages 6-18. 

  • Previous theatre and/or directing experience. 

​
