PLAY IN A WEEK- 'A MODERN ODYSSEY'​​

This summer, we shall be taking to the Cygnet Theatre for our first ever Play in a Week with the Anthos Young Company! Join us for a week of Drama and fun as we make a brand new play; 'A Modern Odyssey.'

'The legendary Odysseus sets sail for home after the end of a great war. Things do not go to plan, however, as Odysseus is blown off course and forced to brave perilous dangers in order to get back to those he loves. Will he make it, or will be destroyed by the wrath of the gods?'

Over the course of the week, we will exploring how the story of The Odyssey can be adapted for a modern audience, while creating a brand new version to be performed on the Friday! ​Is such a thing possible? What madness awaits? Will we lose the plot completely? You'll have to take part to find out!

For ages 11-16, our Play in a Week is the perfect place for creative young people who love Drama, or want to give it a go for the first time. No experience is required, just a willingness to embrace the fun (and chaos) of making a show! Rehearsals will run from Monday 10th to Friday 14th with a final performance at the end of the week. ​​
